Location: The “Lokosphinx” hotel is centrally located on the Canal Griboedova embankment, not far from the world-famous Mariinsky Theater and the Theater Square.
Services and Facilities: The “Lokosphinx” hotel occupies two edifices on the Canal Griboedova embankment: one of the buildings with the windows offering a panoramic view on the canal was erected in 1797 and used to belong to Prince de Konde.In 1993 the building underwent reconstruction, the interior design was modernized, but the atmosphere and the exterior d?cor of the 18th century was preserved. In 1998 the other building was erected on the site where the Mariinsky Institure established by the Empress Maria Fedorovna, was founded. The hotel complex includes 33 spacious comfortable rooms with en suite bathrooms facilities (a bath and/or a shower cubicle, a washbasin, a toilet). There are 21 standard Double rooms, 6 Semiluxes. 5 Luxe rooms and 1 Apartment. Each room comes equipped with a direct dial telephone, a TV set with satellite channels, a fridge, a hair-dryer, a mini-bar (extra paid). Breakfast (table d’hote) is included in price and is served 8-12 am. Major credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Master Card, Maestro) are accepted. Guests are welcome to use the following services: guided tours, theater tickets reservation, guide- and interpreters’ services, airline and train tickets reservation. The regular check in time — 2 pm, the check out time is at noon. Any prolongation of stay or early check in should be extra paid — the sum is equal to half day accommodation. The hotel also features a restaurant, a bar, a sauna with a swimming pool (open round the clock for no extra charge for the hotel guests), billiards (10 euro per hour).
